OC Bishop Contempt
Dec. 3rd --. Todd Brown was to clear his name of contempt charges, Nov. 28 contempt charges dropped -- on the same day OC payout to plaintiffs gets approvved. Another Bishop oozes out of testifying under oath.

Parishes' $$$?
Who’s been paying the premiums for sex abuse lawsuit insurance the last decade or so? (More than half of Catholic dioceses buy their insurance from Catholic Mutual, which operates a self-insurance fund for the Catholic Church in North America. per, Ask the Explainer.)

Mahony to LA Daily News: "Up until even a week ago we had a list of John Doe 1 through 1,000 with no names or Fr. John or Br. Mike that kind of thing." That's a blatant lie. They had the list John Doe 1 through 1000 since the complaints were filed in 2003. The archdiocese just sat on them or obstructed investigation until a few weeks ago (July 16 post).

Cops cooperating with Church?
In May the City of Long Beach objected to the production of documents re Theodore Llanos and "I wonder whose palm was greased in the City of Long Beach to get that assertion from law enforcement?" (July 9 post)

The Hagenbach cases jury trial was rescheduled to July 16th as there were not 120 persons available for a jury pool July 9th and all parties agreed to the delay, according to an order signed by Fromholz’ July 2.

In one Hagenbach case alone these priests associated with Queen of Angels Junior Seminary are named:
G. Patrick Ziemann
Taught at Our Lady Queen of Angels Junior Seminary then went on to become Bishop of Santa Rosa. He had to resign that post after it came out that he blackmailed a younger priest into having sex with him.
Gerald Fessard
Was Associate Superintendent of Elementary Schools in the Los Angeles Archdiocese in 1981 after being run out of Santa Clara parish in Oxnard for sexually graphic talk with students. In February 1987 Fessard became Dean of Studies at Queen of Angels Junior Seminary and within months he was brought up on charges for molesting no less than 8 seminarians in their beds.
John Farris
A most prolific child molester / faculty member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Junior Seminary, Farris was also one of the most popular teachers. He specialized in combining “spiritual advisement” with sex molestation.
ACTION
AB261 in Calif Legislature by Nancy Lieber (Mountain View) will eliminate SOL for all sex abuse crimes, ending confusion that leads to mistrials and dropped charges.
RICO Alert
DOCUMENTS SHREDDED: After special training in the fall of 1994 at Catholic University, chancellors returned to archdioceses across the country and shredded documents in priest personnel files relating to criminal activity. What was destroyed and why and in how many cities? Who gave the chencellors these instructions?
